Why families need Chemokis
Chemokis support in a hospital waiting area

Treatment days can feel routine, but still unfamiliar.

Cancer treatment is not only emotionally difficult. It can also be confusing. A single visit may involve registration, waiting areas, blood tests, doctor consultations, treatment rooms, and long periods of waiting.

These appointments often take place every few weeks or once a month, frequent enough to become part of life, but not frequent enough for every step to feel familiar.

When family members can’t be there, both they and their loved one can feel uncertain about what comes next. Chemokis helps make every treatment visit feel calmer, clearer, and less stressful.

FAQ

Questions families often ask.

What does Chemokis actually do during a hospital visit?

Chemokis helps your loved one navigate every step of their treatment visit while keeping you informed along the way. From arrival and registration to waiting areas, consultations, treatment, and the journey home, we provide practical, non-medical support and meaningful updates throughout the day.

Why choose Chemokis instead of a caregiver or asking a family member?

Chemokis is designed for families who can’t always be there in person.

Whether your family members are working, living overseas, caring for children, managing other responsibilities, or simply feeling exhausted after many treatment visits, Chemokis provides reliable, non-medical support on treatment days.

We’re not here to replace family, we’re here to be there when family can’t.

What does Chemokis not do?

Chemokis does not provide medical advice, interpret test results, make treatment decisions, administer medication, replace hospital staff, or act as an emergency medical service.

Is Chemokis only for chemotherapy?

No. While Chemokis is designed to support chemotherapy visits, we may also be able to assist with other cancer-related appointments where practical, non-medical support is helpful.

This may include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, proton therapy, surgery, blood tests, doctor consultations, PET, CT, or MRI scans, and other cancer-related appointments.

If you’re unsure whether Chemokis is suitable for your situation, feel free to reach out, we’ll be happy to discuss your needs.

Will Chemokis stay for the entire treatment visit?

Yes. Chemokis is designed to support your loved one throughout the treatment visit, from arrival or pickup through key appointment stages and the journey home, based on the service arranged in advance.

What kinds of updates will my family receive?

Updates are used to deliver reassurance. Families may receive notes about waiting time, treatment start and completion, photos or videos when appropriate, and safe journey home updates.

Can Chemokis communicate with hospital staff?

Yes. Chemokis can assist with practical, non-medical communication, such as confirming where to go next or seeking clarification about the appointment flow. All medical advice, discussions, and decisions remain between your loved one and their healthcare team.

Which hospitals does Chemokis currently support?

Chemokis currently supports families visiting the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS). If your loved one is receiving treatment at another hospital or clinic, please get in touch with us at chemokis.support@gmail.com. We’d be happy to discuss your needs and let you know if we’re able to support your visit.

How much does Chemokis cost?

Every family’s situation is different. We’d like to understand your loved one’s situation and the support your family needs. If Chemokis is a good fit for your situation, the cost will be based on the actual treatment visit and the support provided, as every visit can vary in duration and care needs.
